Why Auditing Your Venue Is Essential For Growth

Owning or managing a wedding venue isn’t just about having a beautiful space — it’s about ensuring every element behind the scenes works seamlessly to deliver unforgettable experiences for couples (and stress-free operations for your team). Regular venue audits are essential because they shine a light on what’s working well, uncover hidden inefficiencies, and highlight opportunities to increase sales and client satisfaction.

A 15-Year Journey From Venues to Weddings & Back Again

I began my career in the wedding and hospitality industry almost 15 years ago, working across a wide range of hotels and venues in their functions departments. This gave me an inside understanding of how events operate behind the scenes — from logistics and service flow, to guest experience and venue profitability.

In 2018, I launched my own wedding planning company, and since then along with planning hundreds of weddings, I’ve had the privilege of assisting countless venues to elevate their offerings. I’ve also been directly involved in launching four venues from the very start, guiding everything from event flow design and supplier partnerships to client experience strategies.

Alongside planning and coordinating weddings for our clients, I also manage two venues exclusively — Yoothamurra Homestead and Redgum Wine Estate — giving me a unique perspective on balancing venue operations with couple expectations.

This combination of hands-on venue operations and planning expertise means I can quickly identify hidden challenges and untapped opportunities for any property. Whether it’s boosting sales, enhancing the client experience, or creating systems that make weddings seamless, I bring a proven track record of transforming venues into sought-after destinations for couples.

Looking for more than a one-off audit?

If you’re seeking a longer-term partnership and deeper support, we can absolutely tailor something to suit your venue’s needs. Whether that’s ongoing strategy, hands-on operational support, or helping refine your wedding offerings season by season, I’ll work with you to create a package that fits your goals and gives you confidence moving forward.
